Nova Scholar Reviews
Don’t just take our word for it - Here’s what our students and parents are saying about their experience.

Hear from our students:

My favorite part was the deep discussions we had during our mentor meetings. I loved being challenged to think critically about my research and defend my interpretations. It made me realize that questioning and refining ideas is what research is all about.

One of the biggest impacts of this program was showing me how interdisciplinary research can be. I worked on a project that combined humanities and data science, and it opened my eyes to how different fields intersect. I now want to explore data science further in college.

Getting my research published was one of the most exciting accomplishments of my academic journey so far. Seeing my name in a research journal made me realize that my contributions matter. It motivated me to continue pursuing research in college.

The biggest takeaway from this program was learning how to conduct a proper literature review. I now know how to analyze complex academic papers, synthesize information, and construct well-supported arguments. This skill will be invaluable as I continue my research journey in college

I never imagined I would have a published paper while still in high school. The process of writing, revising, and submitting my research taught me patience and persistence. It made me appreciate the rigor of academic publishing.

Working on my research project helped me develop a much deeper understanding of my topic beyond what I had learned in school. I had to read academic papers, extract key insights, and synthesize my own arguments. The challenge was intense, but it made me a more confident and capable researcher.

Publishing my research gave me a sense of confidence I never had before. It showed me that with dedication and the right guidance, young researchers can make meaningful contributions. It also strengthened my college applications.

One of the most valuable things I learned was how to interpret and visualize data effectively. I became proficient in using R to analyze trends and present findings clearly. This skill will be incredibly useful in any future research I undertake.
