Nova Scholar Terms of Service

Welcome to Nova Scholar! We connect students with mentors from top universities to inspire learning through guided research and real-world problem-solving. Before using our services, please carefully review these Terms of Service ("Terms"). By accessing our platform, you agree to these legally binding terms governing your use of our website, applications, and services.

1.1 Key Definitions

- "Content" includes text, notifications, emails, videos, images, and audio made available through the Platform."Individual Data" refers to data linked to a User’s use of our Services.
- "Mentor" is a User (researcher, educator, or professional) providing mentorship to Students.
- "Mentorship Program" consists of sessions between a Student and a Mentor.
- "Nova Scholar," "we," "us," or "our" refers to Nova Scholar, Inc."Nova Scholar Platform" includes our website and related applications."Services" include all software and features made available by Nova Scholar.
- "Student" is a User (typically a middle or high school or college student) receiving mentorship.
- "Terms" refers to these Terms of Service, governing access and usage of the Platform.
- "User" includes both Students and Mentors.
- "User Content" means any Content submitted by a User."Website" refers to www.novascholar.education

2. Acceptance of Terms
Before using our Services, ensure you have reviewed any updates to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.

By using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or at least 13 years old with parental or guardian consent. Parents/guardians are fully responsible for their child’s use of the Services.

Our Services are primarily intended for users in the United States of America. We do not guarantee compliance with laws in other jurisdictions.

2.1 Updates to Terms
We may revise these Terms at our discretion by posting a new version on our Website. The "Last Updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Account Registration & Communications

3.1 Account Credentials
: To access certain features, Users may be required to register an account and create Login Credentials (username and password or third-party authentication). Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their Login Credentials.Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss due to unauthorized account access.

3.2 Account Information
: During registration, Users must provide accurate information, including name, email, address, and payment details (if applicable). Keeping information up to date is mandatory.Failure to provide accurate information may result in suspension or termination of your account.

3.3 Communications & Notifications

4. Our Services

Nova Scholar connects Students with Mentors through a structured mentorship program. We facilitate interactions but do not assume responsibility for the conduct of Users.

4.1 Student Responsibilities
- Application Process: Students must submit an application, providing truthful academic and personal details.Enrollment & Fees: Upon acceptance, students enroll in a Mentorship Program with applicable fees. Refunds are not guaranteed.

- Mentorship Sessions: A typical Nova Program includes anywhere between 4 to  17 sessions conducted via video conferencing.

Progress Reports & Certification: Students may receive progress reports from Mentors and, upon program completion, a Certificate of Completion or a Letter of Recommendation (based on merit).

4.2 Mentor Responsibilities
- Registration & Approval: Mentors must submit a profile and undergo a screening process.

- Mentorship Sessions: Mentors must conduct scheduled mentorship sessions and provide necessary progress reports.

- Code of Conduct: Mentors must maintain professional conduct. Any inappropriate behavior, discrimination, or solicitation outside of the platform is strictly prohibited.

- Compensation: Mentors receive payments in installments per completed session, following the [insert payment terms page].

5. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct
Users must use the Services only for lawful purposes. The following activities are strictly prohibited:Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior.Unauthorized sharing of User Content.Violating privacy or intellectual property rights.Using the Services for fraudulent activities.Circumventing security features.Uploading harmful or malicious software.We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts engaging in prohibited conduct.

6. Privacy & Data Security
User data is governed by our Privacy Policy. While we implement security measures, no system is completely secure, and Users assume risk when sharing personal information.

7. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

7.1 Arbitration Agreement
Users agree to resolve disputes via binding arbitration, except for claims eligible for small claims court.
